Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Peter Augustinus has spent most of his adult life in the Eastern Cape, where he is well-known for his warm, outgoing personality. Through his drive, enthusiasm for life and attention to detail, whatever the project in his own businesses, he has achieved many awards in the hospitality industry in which he has been involved for the past 15 years.

Now Qualified and registered with East Cape Tourism Board as a professional guide has allready received immediate recognition in becoming nominated in 2005 for "Top Emerging Guide" for Eastern Province, and in 2006 was placed in the TOP 3 Tour Guides for Eastern Province, this was put foward in a national selection for the "Welcome Awards2007" This is a prestegious award for any Tour Guide here in South Africa to achieve, and not stopping his qualifications in the industry has recently achieved his qualifications for Western Province with Limpopo to follow. FGASA 1 and Level 2 are in his sights because of his passion and interest in Wildlife, and is most comfortable when engaged on "Safaris" in the bush.
Currently he and his wife, Cheryl, run an exclusive Safari-style guest house on the banks of the beautiful Nahoon River, East
London. His passion for the people and the region prompted the tour operation where knowledge and history can be shared with tourists and locals alike.

Being a “Viking” his maternal love of the sea was evident at a young age becoming a qualified surf lifesaver as well as surfing for his province, and a little later engaging in Big Game Fishing off our coast as well as East Africa, Mocambique and the Indian Ocean Islands, landing species of Marlin, Sailfish, Barracuda and Sharks. Big Game hunting was denied after witnessing the gazing and beautiful eyes of the antelope and he prefers to view these through binoculars, rather than a scope.

Peter is fully conversant in English, Danish, Afrikaans and isiXhosa and looks forward to welcoming you on “Safari”. While our aim is commercial we also help to uplift the communities
of the sites we visit and thereby assist in maintaining the legacy of the Xhoza culture.
